Prime’s Impact Team Attends Systemic Investing Summit 2025

The Prime Coalition’s Impact Team recently wrapped up a rich and energizing week in London for the Systemic Investing Summit 2025, where they deepened relationships, explored new ideas, and connected with a global community of peers committed to systems change through systemic investing.

Leading up to the main event, Anna Goldstein attended a gathering hosted by TWIST: Investing for Systems Change, a global collective of investors, practitioners, and facilitators actively seeking to contribute to positive systems change. This event focused on Mindset Shift, and attendees explored how inner work—reflection, values alignment, and awareness—can shape the outer work of investing toward more equitable, regenerative systems. Anna’s breakout group went deep on the topic of belonging within the systems change community, drawing thought-provoking analogies to sports teams, Taylor Swift fans, and the Unitarian Universalist church!

Meanwhile, Alban Yau and Claudia Leon joined an in-person session with the Community of Practice for the Strategic Capital Facilitation cohort convened by the TransCap Initiative. This peer group is advancing the thoughtful coordination of capital to enable systemic change – read more about strategic capital facilitation in this helpful blog post. The cohort began a series of virtual meetings in the Fall of last year, which made it extra special to get to spend time and collaborate with those peers in person. The session reinforced the importance of community building, relational infrastructure, and a coherent strategy to advance leverage points that can shift systems meaningfully over time.

The session called "Advancing the practice: private wealth's unique role in systemic investing" was delivered by Kirsten Andersen of the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth, Tania Rodriguez Riestra of CO_, Richard Azarnia of The Good Investors and Julie Engelhorn. Here, Tania is speaking about the partnerships they've fostered at CO_ to build their systemic investing practice.

At the Systemic Investing Summit, Alban, Anna, and Claudia felt energized by the clarity of purpose and creative thinking in the room. A beautiful opening poem by Ashanti Kunene, co-lead of the Transforming Wealth Lab at the Joseph Rountree Foundation, is a highlight for the team. In it, Ashanti calls us to reflect on our roots, our existence in deep-rooted power structures and extraction mindsets, and how we can make space for new narratives and ways of being to emerge. The two days were packed with fruitful discussion, from breakout sessions on advancing private wealth’s role in systems change to evolving approaches to impact measurement in the context of systems transformation. The summit brought together practitioners aligned in intention and eager to collaborate across boundaries, giving the Prime team an opportunity to reconnect with existing partners and spark conversations with new ones on the systemic work ahead.

The Impact Team returns with fresh energy and a deepened sense of possibility. As Prime continues to formalize and evolve the systemic practices in our catalytic investing, we’re grateful to be in a community with so many others who are committed to reimagining what’s possible.
