Featuring Sarah Kearney this week, the Energy Seminar, chaired by Professor John Weyant and managed by the Precourt Institute for Energy, informs the Stanford community about a wide range of energy and climate change issues and perspectives. The audience includes: faculty, graduate students, undergraduate students, and staff from Stanford’s seven schools and the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, as well as energy professionals from the community.

This hour-long webinar features catalytic capital investors as they discuss how they have structured their funding to unlock outsized impact and how they have adjusted their practices and approaches to support the outcomes that they want to achieve.

Infrastructure projects built after a technology leaves the lab face a variety of capital gaps before they reach commercial acceptance. And very few investors are filling them today. This open discussion explored how entrepreneurs and investors experience these gaps and the unique roles catalytic capital could play in closing these gaps. See our ECI page for past resources.
