New Guide for Assessing Avoided Emissions Across Asset Classes by WBCSD, Prime’s Project Frame, and Impact Convergence Forum

Prime Coalition’s Project Frame is proud to share Avoided Emissions & Climate Investing: A Guide for Investors and Businesses, a groundbreaking guide produced in close collaboration with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the Impact Convergence Forum (ICF).

This guide provides a clear and comprehensive framework for navigating existing methodological approaches for assessing forward-looking climate impacts and reporting avoided emissions, and represents a pivotal step forward in the fight against climate change.

It was developed through a year-long, intensive collaboration between Project Frame’s 2024-2025 Methodology Working Group—its largest cohort yet, including over 40 investors dedicated to climate—and members of WBCSD and the ICF.

The guide includes an in-depth analysis of points of convergence and divergence between Frame and WBCSD’s methodologies, and practical use-cases of the two developed by ICF– with the intention of providing clarity on how and when to use each methodology across asset classes, stages, solution types, and more.

Learn more about the guide and download the resource from the WBCSD website.
