All venture capital employees have been affected by contracting marketing, but junior investors have been especially affected since they usually do not manage relationships with fund investors or hold shares in the venture firm's management company. However, many junior investors continue to find new ways to establish themselves, such as developing deep sector knowledge. Additionally, many proponents say that now is a great time to join the VC field since there is less competition and more time to learn.
