Gray Scholarship for systems engineering and automation. During his graduate studies, he collaborated with ConEdison and the Metropolitan Transit Authority on evaluating the techno-economic feasibility of wayside energy storage on the NYC transit system. He also led a team to design and build the first CCNY microgrid, securing first place in the annual CCNY graduate research. Following his Ph.D., Moody served as an assistant professor at Florida Polytechnic University, then he joined a startup in the industry field to work on the development of a data-driven microgrid controller and created a machine learning forecasting engine for electric demand and renewable energy resources. His expertise lies in machine learning, and energy management systems for microgrids and microgrid clusters, aiming for higher system resilience, reduced emissions, and economically optimized operation. Leona Tate, Tessie Provost, and Gail Etienne attended McDonogh 19 Elementary School, while Ruby Bridges attended William Frantz Elementary School. They were the first students to attend the newly desegregated schools in New Orleans on November 14th, 1960. In 2021, Leona, Tessie, and Gail established the Tate, Etienne, Prevost (TEP) Center to educate people about the history of civil rights in New Orleans.
